We are situated on the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union Canal, left out of the entrance leads to Barbridge Junction and right is heading towards Middlewich, which makes us a perfect place to moor. Each Mooring has wireless broadband internet access and an electrical hookup. All jetties have lighting and water.

We are looking for an enthusiastic account assistant to support our experienced accounts lead. The role is full-time and will include some weekends.
The Salary can be flexed to suit the qualifications and experience of the applicants. We believe the position will suit a graduate or A-level student looking for their first full-time position within a company, someone looking for a career change or someone already experienced in working with accounts. We will be happy to support the successful candidate through an AAT training/apprenticeship program. A love of numbers is the main requirement.
Aqueduct marina operates several departments within the business with a retail/chandlery outlet, a boat repair yard, caravan site, café, boat sales brokerage, and boat moorings and storage. As a result, the accounts require a good understanding of purchase ordering, sales invoices, stock balances, and job sheet – invoices management.
We currently use Sage 50 accounts software and a specialist Job sheet and parts software program. No previous experience of this software is required, though an understanding of this or similar software will help as well as confidence with excel spreadsheets.
Duties to include
Supporting the accounts department in keeping all financial information, including accounts payable and receivable up to date
Inputting purchase Invoices onto Sage
Produce Monthly boat storage and mooring sales invoices on Sage
Handling internal and external queries relating to the accounts
Reconciling financial data
Update and maintain accounts database
Track and resolve accounting problems and discrepancies as needed
Posting of customer payments
Setting up new customers and suppliers on the system
Raising sales invoices on both sage and Kudos
Answering Phone calls
Some weekend work may be required
From time-to-time duties may vary to cover holidays and will include office admin tasks
