Coronavirus update

Dear customers,

First and foremost, thank you all for your continued support during this difficult time. We appreciate that you will be enduring difficulties yourselves and hope that we may in some way be able to assist you.

As we have previously stated, our response to this epidemic has been changing daily and after a lot of careful consideration we are now announcing that we will be suspending our onsite Engineering & Maintenance services.

As per the Government’s guidelines we will be using the support package provided to furlough our skilled workforce until we can provide them with a safe and secure working environment.

However, rest assured that we still have a small team on hand who will be available to discuss any questions or queries you might have. This team will still be performing regular checks around the marina, taking phone enquiries and will be available should Moorers have any emergency repairs.

Please feel free to contact us by calling our office on 01270 525 040 or e-mailing

We have access to a vast range of narrowboat knowledge, and we will continue to help in any way we can.

Thank you again and all the best,

The Aqueduct Team

UPDATE 25/03/2020

Dear customers,

Following a meeting yesterday afternoon (which was held over the web), the Aqueduct Marina Team will be implementing further measures to support the Governments crisis management.

These measures are to afford everyone additional protection whilst maintaining services and business activity key to the marina’s continuity.

As of today, this means that…

  • The marina, storage yard and caravan park are nowclosed to all visitors, people currently residing onboard their boat can stay, however we would encourage those who can make other arrangements to do so. No further customers or the general public will now be allowed to gain access.
  • The code to the security barrier will be changed, this is to enable the management of access to the site. If you have not been issued the barrier code by the Aqueduct Team, then you cannot visit the site. The new barrier code we will then issue to all customer once the Government have notified us that free movement has been allowed again.
  • Those currently onboard will have access to; pump-out and diesel by special arrangement only. You must call the marina on 01270 525 040 and book access to the diesel and pump-out jetty on a self service basis.
  • The chandlery is closed to everyone except marina staff; those currently onboard at the marina may receive essential items by delivery. Special arrangements can be made via 01270 525 040 or
  • The marina toilets, showers & laundry facilities are now closed until further notice; this is both to close the currently shared common areas where the virus could be passed on and also as staffing for cleaning services are no longer available.
  • Workshops are closed to all visitors but we will be working away in the background, all those residing onboard are required to distance themselves from all marina staff. We know that you may not be able to use your boat at this time but we can assist you in keeping it maintained, if you have any enquiries regarding engineering services, you must call 01270 525 040 to speak with our team or e-mail

Please follow these rules along with the Governments published advice, they are in place for everyone’s benefit and the safety of those who are most vulnerable.

If you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to contact our office via 01270 525 040 and speak with a member of the Aqueduct Team or e-mail and a member of our team will respond to you.

As ever, thank you for your assistance and support…

All the best,

The Aqueduct Team
