Church Minshull Aqueduct Marina has been successful in applying for a Cheshire East, European Rural Development grant to help pay for the recent improvements to the new workshop.
The work carried out includes new concrete floors, roller shutter doors, an internal partition and installing electrics and lighting. We are also about to put in a heating system. This has already had a positive impact on the painting process as we now have a step system with multiple boats at different stages in the procedure, allowing us to complete boats more reliably, efficiently and consistently.
We believe we now have one of the best narrow boat painting facilities around with a comprehensive process starting with shot-blasting to give the best possible surface to work from, spraying on a 2 pack black and completing with a hand painted gloss finish.
We are also now offering a Zinga hull coating, which gives a superb degree of hull protection against Galvanic corrosion.
Should you be interested in a complete cabin repaint and or any bottom blacking hull protection from bitumen to Zinga coating – and don’t forget we can also do base plates – please contact us on info@aqueductmarina.co.uk.
