Red Admiral is a very attractive Tayberg boat, built 1995 with wonderful hull lines and an interior to match… sure fashion and tastes have changed but quality boat building is still just that and looking at Red Admiral both the hull and interior have been crafted by caring, passionate boat builders.

The interior panelling is very attractive and just like the hull itself all the fixtures inside reflect the builders continued efforts to build a good boat. Cooker and stove are both replacements; most likely completed in the last 5 years and the Bubble corner stove itself is a very nice addition.

Externally this boat is looking a little rough and ready with that in mind we have advised the sellers that Red Admiral is due a repaint… thus the price!

What about equipment? Well the engine is simply great, it’s a Russell Newbery DM3 which produces 30Hp @1,200rpm and subtle tune which is more enlightening than deafening. Red Admiral is also equipped with a modern Victron 1.6kw combi inverter, Paloma gas fired water heater and a solar panel amongst the usual mod cons.

In summary, this is traditional boat that borders on practicality; there is a well-appointed traditional boatman’s cabin, engine room, vintage engine and a modern fore cabin which feels spacious… this boat has all the character you need and just requires an injection of life.
