Robert

Establishing the Marina in 2009 along with his wife Andrea, Robert is the Owner and Managing Director at Aqueduct Marina. Leading the team to deliver premier services whilst providing the best services for you and your boat. A Certified Marina Manager, Robert takes an active role in the marine sector and is the chairman of the British Marine Midland’s Committee. A family man, out of hours, Robert enjoys playing tennis, park runs with his three children Jennifer, Elizabeth and Joseph and is a keen Man United football supporter.

Andrea

Because behind every successful man is a successful woman part of the board, Andrea is also an Owner at Aqueduct Marina and the Human Resource Director. Between ensuring that the family get to their destinations each day to college and school etc, as part of her day to day Andrea is responsible for maintaining business direction and ensuring all crew members are well looked after within the business. Andrea is currently embarking on a CIPD HR level 3 course run through Stafford University. In her spare time, whilst not looking after her second crew at home Andrea enjoys volunteering for British Riding Clubs which can mean anything from making tea at club level or fence judging at national championships!

Phil

Taking the position of first mate Phil is the Marina and Operations Director at Aqueduct Marina. Splitting his time between departments, Phil works as part of the board in the bringing about of company objectives and works alongside the crew to ensure customers’ requirements are met and the marina continues to develop to meet customers needs. Phil started as an Apprentice and qualified as a City & Guilds and BMEEA Electrician whilst working in the operations department. During his time Phil was involved in all aspects of operations and was then asked to join the newly formed board in 2016. Outside of work, Phil is a keen golfer and enjoys spending his time on the UKs many golf courses along with attending various sporting and music events.

Chris

Project Manager for all boat maintenance work at Aqueduct Marina, Chris spends most of his time scheduling maintenance work and creating estimates for boat repairs, hull blacking and cabin painting. He has also completed a Marina Management course through British Marine. Formerly Scenic boat builders and an electrical engineer there is little that this man does not know about boats. When outside of work Chris is a skilled musician playing in a function band called ‘The Jacks’.

Sarah

Office Manager, Accounts and Board Clerk, the facts and figures behind the business, Sarah is one of our longest serving employees and has been working for the marina for approximately ten years. Sarah is currently studying towards completing an AAT accounting qualification and a whizz on Sage Accounts.

Bernie

Adding the magic to business, Bernie is the Marketing Manager at Aqueduct Marina. Splitting her time between departments she oversees all the marketing materials, adverts, website, social media, shows and marina communications. She has also received a BA Hons degree in English Language and has completed a CIM marketing certificate through the Professional Academy. When outside of work Bernie enjoys all things travel and can be found planning her next trip to Europe. She also enjoys yoga, spending time walking in the Welsh mountains along with attending various music events and festivals.

Nick

With over 10 years’ in boat sales, Nick can offer a wealth of experience and knowledge. Working in the brokerage here at Aqueduct Marina since 2011, he has been Brokerage Manager for the last 5 years. Overall Nick has over 14 years’ experience working on the canals, having started out with British Waterways in 2003. Nick has also earned his British Marine Boat Sales qualification in recognition of 10 years within the industry. A natural talent at the helm, Nick is often found using his skills to demonstrate boats on the marina and quite happy to do so whatever the weather! When not at work Nick can be found outside, normally down at the stables or maybe looking after his 11 month old daughter Elise. An approachable character who enjoys relaxing outside the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whatever you may need you can always come and speak to Nick…

Georgia

The face of the marina Georgia is the Receptionist at Aqueduct Marina, dealing with customer enquiries and manging moorings and caravan pitches. She is the first crew member you will meet and takes kindly to warm smiles! Formerly working at Reaseheath college within the customer service and care team, there is very little that Georgia does not know about customer care. She has also completed an apprenticeship in customer service. Outside of work Georgia enjoys surprise trips to the New Forest and nail manicures. She is also a special constable volunteering for the local police force.

Dave M

A familiar face in the boating world, Dave has over 20 years’ experience in the marine industry. Working alongside Dave as the Chandlery Supervisor (yes, we have two!) in the daily operations of our Chandlery, Dave has a lot of knowledge, but if he doesn’t know he certainly knows how to find out!, So whether it’s sourcing materials to fit out your next narrowboat shell or recommending what paint to use on your current project - Dave is the man to ask! A local man in his spare time Dave enjoys a good round of golf.

Dave

As Chandlery Assistant, Dave spends most of his time dealing with customer enquiries, ordering stock and dealing with suppliers. He has been working at the Marina for over five years. A fascination with lighthouses, having worked for Trinity House for seven years, when outside of work you will either find him out attempting to play golf or visiting lighthouses around the UK coast.

Rob

A life time in engineering and narrowboats Rob is the Senior Marine Engineer at Aqueduct Marina completing the most laborious aspects of boat maintenance work including welding, fabrication and over-plating. Formerly RJ Marine and Audlem Boats, Rob has a long history with canal boats (25 years to be exact!) and is the oracle for all those items which need fixing in a canal boat. Outside of work Rob is a keen guitarist playing in a band called 'The Emperors of the North'.

Will

With over 15 years’ experience in the industry, building boats for 10, Will has been working as a Marine Engineer for the marina for approximately 7 years. Completing NVQs in vehicle body building, welding and grinding Will has a vast amount of experience in boat building from fitting out through to boat painting. He is also Webasto and Eberspächer trained. Outside of work Will likes to spend time with his son Jenson and has a keen passion for cars. He is also a keen follower of Rob Adair's band 'The Emperor's of the North'.

Darren

A keen boat enthusiast Darren has worked for the marina for approximately 4 years. Working as a Marine Engineer in the boat maintenance team Darren spends much of his time completing engine services, conducting maintenance checks and essential works. If you spot a vintage engine then you are most likely to find Darren, as an avid engineer he has a real enthusiasm for the way things work. He also enjoys a good traditional pint in the Badger pub.

Scott

Welder and Fabricator, melting metal into master pieces, Scott has been working in the industry for approximately 10 years, initially working with his granddad Terry out of the Aqueduct workshops 7 years ago. There is very little that Scott cannot tackle whether it is rebuilding parts of a boat through to cutting, shaping and crafting steel. A family man when outside of work Scott spends much time with his wife and five… soon to be six children.

Jonny

Making boats beautiful Jonny has been in the painting industry for over 15 years. Starting at just the tender age of 14, there is very little that Jonny does not know about painting boats specialising, in cabin painting and full repaints. A likeable character, when outside of work Johnny can be found spending time with his family on his boat or taking in the Welsh scenery in Llangollen on his motor cross bike.

Alex

In charge of the boat yard operations, as Yard Foreman, Alex spends much of his time working in the boat yard removing boats from the water, gantry lifting and keeping the storage area in top tip condition. He is also Hodge Clemco certified in grit blasting and spraying. A friendly face and keen petrol/car fanatic at heart, outside of work Alex can be found either underneath the bonnet of a car or installing new parts to his van.

Ben

Boat Yard Operative. Working in the boat maintenance team Ben spends most of his time assisting with boat moves, helping Jonny with painting preparations and supporting our engineers in the day to day tasks. A boat owner himself, and having always had a keen interest, when outside of work Ben can be found sourcing new parts for his boat or tackling a new project.

Paul

The man behind the mask, Paul is our master Grit Blaster for Aqueduct Marina spending much time in the blasting sheds. One of the 'dark arts' in the boat maintenance world there is no way to disguise that it is hard, physical work. Completing full grit blasts including hull, cabin and base plate. It is easy to appreciate the shiny skills or artisan boat painters, but remember, to achieve that 'best-boat-in-the-world' finish, skills like Paul's are an essential part of the preparation process. A passion for restoring things when outside of work Paul can be found refurbishing cars.

Holly

The secret to good service is also good food and that could not be done without the Galley Café Team! Leading the Galley is our Café Manager Holly who has been working for the marina for approximately 7 years. As part of her role, Holly spends most of her time organising the Galley social events, dealing with customer enquiries, managing the internal staff and keeping on top of the daily orders. She is also qualified in food safety and hygiene. Out of hours Holly is a keen gym goer and enjoys taking part in a variety of exercise classes including spin, body pump and hit workouts.

Alison

Arguably, one of the most important crew members in our team, Alison is our lead Galley Chef in the café kitchen. With a tasty track record of over 30 years’ experience in the industry, providing some of the best light lunches, breakfasts, cakes and snacks, there is very little that this woman cannot cook! An avid fan of James Martin, outside of work Alison splits her time between spending time with her daughter Chloe and looking after her little dog Lottie.

Galley Cafe Chef A fresh face to the team, Joanne spends much of her time working alongside Alison helping with the daily tasks, prepping ingredients and preparing meals. Completing a catering course at South Cheshire College, outside of work Joanne enjoys spending time with her two daughters, travelling, swimming, cooking and taking her dog Ted for walks.

Woody

A man with much talent is our trusted groundsman Woody. A familiar face from around the marina Woody can always be spotted shovel in hand or wheelbarrow in tow cutting the grass, maintaining the hedgerow and keeping the flower beds at their best. If anyone has green thumbs it is certainly Woody!
